Love Mercy?? Part 3

Another aspect of loving mercy that God has revealed to me this week is actually loving mercy. I know crazy thought, right? What I mean is love the mercy that God has granted us. Over and over again the Bible states how God has shown us mercy and we are therefore saved through this mercy, we must love the mercy that he has given us and openly receive it. Picture this-someone gives you a present all nice and wrapped up pretty, big shiny bow and all and you just leave it there…sitting on the table unopened…forever. Sad to think about. That is how we are with God’s grace! He’s given it to us all nice and presentable through His son and its our job to receive it. That ole statement, you can lead a horse to water, but you cant make him drink. Salvations a two way street. God’s done his part, now its ours!

Alrighty, get ya Bibles ready, bout throw some scripture at you for your reading pleasure, do enjoy the lovely messages of God’s mercy!

The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. -Psalm 103:8

For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. -Psalm 103:11

O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all those who ask for your help. -Psalm 86:5

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. -Psalm 23:6

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. -Lamentations 3:22-23

The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin. -Exodus 34:6-7

Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love.  -Micah 7:18

He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. -Titus 3:5

He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him. -Luke 1:50

LIGHTBULB MOMENT: Aight, so along with loving and giving mercy, we should receive and love the mercy God has granted us. LOVE MERCY=GIVE AND RECEIVE!!

Thanks for the read :]
